Winter harvest.

January 6, 2011 by Michelle Hinckley |

Our 3 ft. citrus tree yielded about 20 oranges this year.

They are so pretty I can hardly bring myself to eat them.

I wish they stayed fresh all year to adorn my table.

All my life I have dreamt of having a citrus tree in my garden. Must be great to eat your own oranges from your very own tree. BUT, unfortunately the climate where I live sets a stop for that. I live in Norway and there is not a chance for a citrus tree to survive here during the winter time…

Enjoy your lovely oranges, you lucky girl ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh they look gorgeous. So much nicer than the ones from the store, and tree ripened is always so sweet. Lucky girl. Hugs, Marty

I was just thinking this morning that when I buy a home, I would love to have a fruit tree. I was originally thinking apple but you may have just swayed me towards citrus….
