We’re a family that shares everything. We share our meals when we go out to eat. I share my library card with my boys when books need to be checked out. My boys share their toys without any squabbles.
When Matani got sick, naturally I thought, “I’ve got to get me some of that!” So share he did. I’m so glad to now know what the pounding headache, achy body, and green gunk coming out my lungs feels like. I’ve permanently stuffed tissue up my nose to stop it from running. Which, by the way, I think there might be a market for. I’d call my invention “Snot Plugs.” (If some guy name Boudreuax can sell “Butt Paste” I’m sure I can sell “Snot Plugs.”)
As Matriarch of this household I believe it my duty to make sure everyone gets their fair share of the bounty. Since we’ve all had or currently have the “cold of century” except Jake I thought he shouldn’t miss out on the fun. Before I serve him water I lick the rim of the glass. I also try really hard not to cover my mouth when I cough. Oh, and when he walks by I grab him and give him a good PG-13 kiss. He should be feeling the sinus pressure in no time.
A family that cares…shares!
