I'm in the midst of making over my boys bedroom. Not going so well. I wanted to have everything done by the time our next house guests came this Thursday. Not gonna happen. For starters I just can't get the paint color right. I once saw Jeff Lewis (Bravo's Flipping Out show) paint a dozen 24 inX24 in samples of different paint colors on the wall and I thought, "all that paint just to test it out?...That's expensive!" I get it now. I'm on my third paint color. Let's see...at three paint colors,

Boys Room Makeover
Not much has been happening on the decorating homefront but I'm really getting ancy to start a new home project. The boys room is up next (yep, we've decided they are gonna share a room). They want Spider Man or Star Wars...me, not so much. I figure we've both have to like it. (Props to my wonderful hubby who re-wired it, hung it, and made it light up! Props to myself for not dropping it, while standing on a stool, holding it straight above my head, arms shaking, and beads of sweat running in my eyes.)

Mission Failed.
Things were looking up last night at 10pm when I was peeling tape soon after we applied the black coat. It was tedious so we decided to call it a night and hit it again tomorrow. BIG MISTAKE! THEN... This morning...this happened. Operation den makeover is officially a BUST! Paint peeled all the way down to the drywall. I have no clue what to do next exept write to Oprah and ask her to send her cutie pie, Nate Burkus. Back to the drawing board.
The jury is still out.
I finished the taping today. Time to continue with my vision of faux-wallpaper. Crack open that black paint and let's get to work! EEWWWW! Wait a minute...UMMM? WHOA! I'm not so sure about this. This isn't quite working the way I anticipated. This could go two ways: Dramatic-chic or Halloween scary. I hope I didn't make a mistake. Stay tuned.
