Field trip.

October 6, 2011 by Michelle Hinckley |

5 minutes from our house are the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
I don’t think we’re in Tucson anymore, Toto.

The wildlife, the colors, the cool temps.!
There’s nothing better than spending time with family (and Ben & Jerry).
Add another hiking stick to the collection.

  Oh, Utah.
I think you’re growing on me.

Do you still love UT today? lol
This weather is nuts. It keeps snowing on and off at my house — I’m in the Avenues (downtown SLC).
You may have heard this by now, but the big saying here is “if you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes”.

Absolutely gorgeous pictures. Glad UT is growing on you. I enjoy reading all of the places you’re discovering in the valley. I’ve only been here since Aug 2005, so I’m still discovering new places myself.

Hope you’re staying warm today. Have a good Thursday!

I LOVE Utah…always have! I didn’t go this year but we typically spend much of our summers there and every year I day dream for weeks about living there. If the snow today doesn’t stick around, take a drive up to Mirror Lake and/or Soapstone Pass sometime–it will take your breath away. Enjoy!

Hi Michelle, I just found your blog via Houzz – I’m featuring one of your pics. Sounds like you just moved to Utah – I love Utah! Lived there when I was in my early 20’s and somehow I knew that when I moved east, I’d never return – so far its true – unfortunately! What’s nice about UT is when it gets too hot in the summer, you can go into the mountains to cool down. Or, if you’re poolside in March and decide you want to ski, you can!! btw, I’m forever 3men & 1 Lady! 🙂
