1930’s metal dresser – Treasure Hunting Tuesday.

Yesterday I gushed about my love for The Old Flamingo.
And rightfully so…remember this headboard I scored there last year?
It’s still sitting in my basement but about to make it’s appearance with some new paint and threads soon.

Maybe something like this?
A couple weeks ago I there doing my rounds at The Old Flamingo and I spotted this.
A vintage, 1930’s dresser made entirely of metal.

You know when you see something (or someone) and there is that immediate connection?
Your heart starts to race and everything suddenly moves in slow motion.

I’ve actually admired this metal dresser on a few internet sites.

They go for over a couple thousand dollars.
(Let’s just say…I found a jackpot)!
Find one that still has the mirror and you’re really lucky!

I think I’ll eventually strip the white paint but for now, me and my dresser are still just in love, flaws and all.
I haven’t even cracked in to decorating our bedrooms but when I do…oh boy…

  1. Great find! Can’t wait to see how you use it…it will be fantastic I’m sure.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. Love the headboard inspiration! What did you ever do with your striped wall (http://www.4men1lady.com/2012/08/striped-wall.html)?

  3. Wow you are lucky. That is a great find.

  4. I have one of those metal dressers that I scored at a yard sale for
$5. I didnt even know they were worth that much!!

  5. That is really cute! You should check out emiliejayne consignment on 800 South 800 East. Really cute stuff. Also did you know Xpedex is closing? I loved the blue boxes you got there! Just wanted to let you know if you didn’t already know.

  6. I love the vintage look! Fantastic post!

  7. WOW, I can’t believe how lucky you are. I want one!
I just fell in love with an all brass dresser but wasn’t able to get it because some guy outbid me at an auction. I was sooo upset.
    Love that headboard too.
